The primary objective of this project was to update and refresh the Meta product displays across their European retail estates, to coincide with their new product launch. The project was managed centrally from our UK office with a dedicated project manager, who coordinated all activities with our European partners.
Due to the sensitive nature of the launch, an embargo was in place, meaning our warehouse, HQ and retail teams were unable to see the new POS materials before the launch day and localised briefing packs could only be issued on the morning the project started. Furthermore, 70% of all stores had to be visited within 48 hours of the official press announcement, and the remaining 30% within one week, adding additional time pressures.

1
Initial face-to-face training: Our dedicated project manager, head of training, and key regional European representatives attended a training session with Meta to be fully briefed on the project, the deliverables and expectations. This included strict adherence to confidentiality protocols, due to the embargo.
2
Coordinate kit distribution: Our HQ and warehouse teams worked closely together to ensure all POS kits were picked and packed according to store, furniture and planogram. These were then dispatched to all our UK logistics hubs and European partners ahead of the project start date.
3
Execute physical and technical display updates: Our retail field teams carried out the POS refresh, technical and software updates to all Meta fixtures as per planogram, installing live demo units where applicable and removing old POS and demo kit for recycling.
4
Reporting: All reporting data from the store visits had to be submitted by 12pm the following day. This meant our reporting teams coordinating data collection from 7 countries and ensuring it was processed into the correct format ready to upload on to Meta’s system by the required time each day.
5
Returns: All of the old live demo units had to be removed from store and returned to our regional warehouses for onward shipment back to Meta for recycling.
6
Follow up: Our retail field teams were required to conduct a follow up visit two-weeks after the refresh to carry out a compliance check, ensuring correct display and product functionality and addressing any outstanding snagging issues from the previous visit.
Embargo conditions maintained for over 4 weeks with no leaks prior to official announcement
All POS kits packed and distributed to local warehouses and teams within 48 hours of launch date
100% store coverage completed within timescales, across all 7 countries
96% display compliance on exit (4% non-compliance due to technical issues that could not be rectified on the day)
All reporting coordinated centrally by our Project Manager and reporting team and submitted by the 12pm deadline each day
Joint visits also conducted with Meta Executives in key flagship stores
